How Does the SecuScan solution Work?
The SecuScan Under Vehicle Inspection System utilises a line scanner. As a vehicle passes over the scanner, images are captured and seamlessly stitched together by the software, resulting in a high-resolution, full-colour image. This feature enables manual inspection of the vehicle and can be further enhanced with automatic checks. The system compares the vehicle’s undercarriage to a comprehensive database of over 3000+ vehicles, facilitating immediate identification of foreign objects.
Why use a line scanner?
There are two main methods for under vehicle scanning: stationary and continuous. The preferred method is the use of a line scanner, as it enables the vehicle to keep moving across the scanner without requiring additional personnel to align the vehicle and wait for the image to be captured. This not only streamlines the process but also allows for a faster and more efficient flow of scanning
In Built Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR)
The SecuScan units are equipped with built-in ANPR (Automatic Number Plate Recognition), allowing you to gather information on all vehicles entering or exiting a site. This data can be compared to DVLA databases for further information collection. All of this data is collected within SecuScan’s user-friendly software platform.
Foreign Object Detection
The SecuScan database comprises thousands of vehicles, continually expanding as more scans are conducted. The Automatic Foreign Object Detection feature identifies any suspicious objects or vehicle modifications. The inspection tool allows you to take additional steps to identify objects and initiate action. When an unidentified object is detected, an alert notification can be sent to a guard for further action.
