What are bespoke development & Projects?
Bi3’s Bespoke Development Projects Service enables you to use our in-house expertise and specialist knowledge to solve unique problems or develop new solutions through our project management system. Collaborate with the Bi3 team to develop these solutions for large-scale projects using a systematic methodology that takes a solution from concept to completion.
What constitutes a bespoke development & projects?
We can work with you to develop new solutions or bespoke algorithms that solve your unique problems as Experts in Human, Vehicle, and Object Detection. CCTV, advanced algorithms, AI, and other technologies are required to solve certain problems. We will collaborate with you to develop a solution that meets your operational requirements while utilising the appropriate technology.

The Project Process
What are the stages of our Bespoke Development Projects. Find out how you will track each stage and learn about our support system that provides you with confidence throughout the project lifecycle.
Pre-Project
The first stage of the process involves collaboration between our expert team you and/or your client to establish the feasibility of the solution. We will then work with you to produce a project brief that will review competency and assign targets for the project.
Project Initiation
Stage 2 sees the creation of a Project Initiation Document (PID), which will outline the scope of the project in greater detail, as well as allocate the resources, roles, risks, timeline, and allowable tolerances. We will also establish a reporting schedule to keep you or your client up to date on the status of your project.
The Development
The solution’s development will begin with a collaborative effort between hardware and software specialists. Progress updates will be provided on a pre-agreed-upon schedule via highlight reports. Change requests from the client can also be issued at this point
to change the project scope
or objectives.
Test & Finalise
Testing will begin after the solution development has concluded. We will deploy the solution, as well as monitor and maintain it, to ensure that all parameters of the project have been met. We will close with a project report after receiving approval from
the client.

Our Project Methodology
The PRINCE 2 methodology is the foundation of the Bi3 Project Management (PM) approach method. It is a process-based approach that offers an easily customizable and scalable technique for the management of all types of projects. Each process is described in detail, including its essential inputs and outputs, as well as the specific goals to be achieved and actions to be taken.

Case Studies
Wastewatch Cam – The Fly-tipping Detection Solution
Bi3 has created a new fly tipping detection and management system. The solution employs CCTV, either temporary or permanent, to detect and alert on incidents of fly tipping, as well as ANPR data from vehicles and a video clip of the incidents, which are sent to a control room for appropriate action.
UK ANPR Project – Vehicle Route Compliance
Bi3 has worked on a number of significant projects in London. One of the most significant ANPR projects in the UK includes a vehicle route tracker. Bi3 have worked with partners to install monitors that tracks construction vehicles as they move through the city which ensure path compliance that collects ongoing data on transit time, congestion, to inform improvements to vehicle travel routes.
COP26: People Counting
During the COP26 Event in Glasgow Bi3 supplied people counting units and supported the event with critical data and information on attendance and occupancy measurement levels, critical data to supply the UK government and inform future COP Global Events.
